Eterneva Brings Digital Tools to Funeral Homes

Eterneva, based in Austin, Texas, is working with funeral homes to provide them with digital tools to organize essentials for an arrangement in just a handful of days.

They have partnered with one of the largest funeral homes in the country, Schoedinger Funeral Home and Cremation Services from Columbus, Ohio. This coveted partnership grabbed the attention of other funeral homes elsewhere.

In a statement about the partnerships, CO-Founder and CEO, Adelle Archer said that it’s part of Eterneva’s mission to assist the most people they can during difficult moments in their lives. This includes extending consideration for death care workers, who often go underappreciated despite performing essential work in funeral services.

The digital arrangements have been praised by those in the funerary field, especially during the challenging spread of COVID-19, according to Kevin Schoedinger, Head of Technology and Senior Vice President for Schoedinger Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Schoedinger said that his employees are enthusiastic to work with the digital arrangements, and found the tool easy to use. In under five days most arrangements can be assembled, cutting down on turnaround time. This, he says, gives them more time to help families navigate the other aspects of a funeral service.

This service, free to use for partners, gives workers the option to take entire services online, making it easier for worker and people to adapt online if in-person attendance becomes too difficult to manage.

This, however, does not mean that the company is becoming an online-only outfit. The company is looking at digital solutions to this emergency situation, prioritizing speed and ease of access.
