Pilot Company announced they donated $50,000 to the Call of Duty Endowment for veterans day. The donation was made in honor of Bobby Kotick and all those who served our country.
The Call of Duty Endowment is a non-profit organization that helps provide scholarships to veterans willing to go back into school and earn degrees or vocational training certifications after discharge from service.
Bobby Kotick is the CEO of Activision Blizzard and has been honored by Pilot Company with this recent donation as an appreciation for his efforts for veterans worldwide.
The donation will create a Call of Duty Endowment fund that only veterans can apply to receive loans from. The goal is for the fund to be worth $25 million by 2020, with hopes it’ll reward at least 40,000 vets over its lifetime.
This past November 11th was the anniversary of Veterans Day in America, and Pilot Company also used this time as another opportunity to honor Kotick’s contributions through donating money to his organization. This comes after they donated $100,000 back in 2015 on Veteran’s Appreciation day, where 100% went toward helping military personnel transition into civilian life successfully without any debt holding them down once their service ended.
Activision Blizzard’s CEO has been a strong advocate for veterans and their well-being. Not only does he support the Call of Duty Endowment, but he also serves on the Board of Trustees at Pitzer College in California, where he donates money every year towards scholarships given out to student veterans who are attending school there.
The Call of Duty Endowment has been an amazing help to veterans all around the United States. With this new donation from Pilot Company, it’ll only continue to grow and improve. Bobby Kotick’s dedication to giving back to those who’ve served our country is something we should all be proud of.
