Eric Lefkofsky: Series C Funding To Find A Cure

Curing cancer is on top of the list for anyone that has a true understanding of how the disease operates. There are different types but they all work the same way. If caught early, then the disease does not have a chance of spreading because it’s killed or removed immediately. However, when it has gotten to an advanced stage where hope is still not lost, there needs to be something in place to still fight and cure it. Eric Lefkofsky raised $70 million just for that reason. He found that by adding software and a patient’s genetic profile together, that will help determine the best course of treatment.

Eric Lefkofsky is a billionaire who has made it his main focus to cure cancer. Tempus is the name of the company that he is using to go about putting his plan in place to help patients that are needing different types of treatment to cure cancer they have. Raising $70 million with the help of investors has certainly provided the funding necessary to make it happen. It’s all about a person’s genetics that helps to determine how best to fight off the horrible disease. Eric Lefkofsky created software that collects the clinical and genomic information of a patient do that the treatment that is needed can be matched very closely.

Of all the techniques and technological advances that are being used, this one could actually make sense. With the genetic information of a patient, the doctor can test how they would respond to certain treatments using whatever will match up with it, and what will kill the cancerous cells on contact without too many side effects. Tempus is doing the research so that doctors can have all of this information at their disposal. Eric Lefkofsky is on to something that could lead to more people beating this disease.

It’s good to have people that are relentless to find a cure for cancer. Eric Lefkofsky is not giving up and the fact that he may be closer to a cure looks promising. We should all continue to hope.
