Bhanu Choudhrie encourages more Women to become Pilots

Bhanu Choudhrie is a distinguished United Kingdom-based businessman with interests in diverse business sectors that includes hospitality, real estate, and the aviation sector. Choudhrie whose roots are in India attained his first degree in International Business and Marketing from the American Based Boston University. Choudhrie in the year 2000 immigrated to London, the United Kingdom where he ventured into entrepreneurship and succeeded in establishing a series of businesses. He is the founder and executive director of C&C Alpha Group.

One investment area that Bhanu Choudhrie has interests in is the Aviation Sector. Choudhrie interests in the industry saw him establish Alpha Aviation Group that runs an international pilot training school in the United Kingdom, UAE, and the Philippines. The Aviation colleges over the years have grown to be the leading provider for licensed commercial pilots in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. According to Bhanu Choudhrie, the aviation sector is a lucrative investment area but also with challenges. One of the challenges in the industry is the shortage of pilots especially women.

Bhanu Choudhrie in his medium account has highlighted how Alpha Aviation Group is trying to curb the shortage of women pilots. According to Choudhrie the firm’s largest aviation school that is based in the Philippines is trying its best to encourage more women to become pilots. The aviation school out of the five students they admit they ensure that one is a woman. According to Choudhrie women, pilots are very few globally compared to men. They account for only 3 percent while 97 percent are men. It is the statistics that Bhanu Choudhrie intends to see changed in the coming years as more and more women join the career. Choudhrie and Alpha Aviation Group run several initiatives that seek to encourage more women to join the industry. One initiative that the Group has been carrying out in universities include recruitment programs where they hold career talks to encourage more female students to apply for the pilot training program. The initiative according to Choudhrie besides encouraging more women to become pilots seeks to demystify the old myth that piloting is only for the men.
