The aviation school out of the five students they admit they ensure that one is a woman. According to Choudhrie women, pilots are very few globally compared to men. They account for only 3 percent while 97 percent are men. It is the statistics that Bhanu Choudhrie intends to see changed in the coming years as more and more women join the career. Choudhrie and Alpha Aviation Group run several initiatives that seek to encourage more women to join the industry. One initiative that the Group has been carrying out in universities include recruitment programs where they hold career talks to encourage more female students to apply for the pilot training program. The initiative according to Choudhrie besides encouraging more women to become pilots seeks to demystify the old myth that piloting is only for the men.
