Simon Denyer, When Passion Meets Talent

Simon Denyer is an accomplished journalist and author. One of his famous published works, the Rogue elephant is a detailed account of the health of India’s democracy. Simon Denyer has had a successful career spanning over two decades during which time he won a Pulitzer.

He is well versed in matters of foreign correspondence a skill set he is currently applying at the Washington Post and Reuters. Wherever he is reporting from, Simon goes the extra mile to show the viewer the reality on the ground sometimes putting his life on the line to get the perfect shot.

His Book Rogue Elephant

Simon published his famous book through Bloomsbury back in 2014. The book quickly became a hit with readers all over the world. Captioned Harnessing the power of India’s Unruly Democracy, the book delves into the matter of democracy in a country like India. It questions how the rule of democracy has aided in the development of the country if at all. Simon co-edited another book titled Foreign Correspondence which got published by Penguin India.

How Simon Got the Pulitzer

Climate change is a topic that has the world on edge. In 2020, Simon Denyer covered a story on the global impact of the ever-changing global climate. His story brought the world’s attention to the changes happening in the pacific and how said changes are affecting salmon catches off the shores of northern Japan.

Simon has won numerous other awards during his career albeit not as prestigious as the coveted Pulitzer Prize and Washington post. To give back to the media community, Simon took up teaching in two leading Japanese Universities.
