The auctioning of Chicago Film Studio and Cinespace Toronto happened recently with over a decade of service in entertainment production. Alex Pissios, the company CEO, has termed TPG’s capital gain as a means to expand the already present market and job opportunities in Illinois. The company is known for being the most prominent film company outside of Hollywood.
It has had renowned praise over the years for producing Chicago’s best television series such as The Chi, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD. According to Deadline reports, the contract closed for 1.1 billion dollars by TPG Real Estate. A former Netflix production manager, Eoin Egan, will also be taking over as the company’s new Chief Operating Officer.
Alex Pissios signed the contract in vision of development for the company in forthcoming years. He says that the growing consumer appeal for authentic content is more than likely to be fulfilled now more than there before. The contact will also be a considerable boost to support previous projects already in progress.
One of the main projects that the company renders to give back to the community is the CineCares Foundation. Under the unmatched leadership of Alex Pissios, the foundation creates a forum for the youth in the South and West of Chicago to be part of the production industry. The youths benefited through job training workshops, seminars, and internship opportunities at Cinespace. Alex Pissios is ever motivated to lend a hand to the community since it feeds them. Everyone can expect the most from Chicago Film Studios with the deal closed.
