The current pandemic has injured the oil business industry. Statistics have shown that by March and with most people being homebound, the oil demand went down with an estimated 23 million barrels per day. Boris Ivanov, formerly of Gazprom and now the founder and CEO of GPB Global Resources, has noted that such a situation has led to the pipeline reaching a breaking capacity. Storage of oil has been affected, and even pipelines which have all along been used for storage are no longer regarded as the most effective.
