This is what happened to Gino Pozzo, born in a family whose passion was in sports. Since his mother had a close friendship with Udinese Calcio Football Club presidents, Gino also became friends with them, thereby learning vital football management techniques. Pozzo’s are also involved in other businesses including their recent investment in property and finance mergers. In 1986, Gino’s father purchased their first football club, Udinese that was financially distressed. After Gino Pozzo became part of Udinese leaders, it made huge profits on top of joining the Champions League, and all of this was contributed by the use of the Scouting-model that Gino Pozzo introduced.
Gino was also at the forefront of expanding the family’s football franchise and spearheaded Granada FC’s purchase in 2009 that was hugely indebted. In two seasons, Pozzo’s lead the team to playing at Primera Liga. Gino Pozzo’s interest in English football made him acquire Watford club that was running insolvent. Besides leading the team to make profits, Gino Pozzo’s tactical leadership raised it to a Premier League team.
