The organization has programs in place that teach people to focus on what they can do well instead of their weaknesses.
Jeremy Goldstein, a successful attorney, based in New York, serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Fountain House, a position he has maintained since 2010. He is also a member of the Associates Committee, which was given the task of planning the Fall Fete. Fountain House holds its Fall Fete each year in order to raise funds for its efforts. The gala is also used to raise awareness on mental illness and help to fight the stigma that is often unfairly linked to it. The 2019 Fall Fete is being held at the Racquet and Tennis Club, in Manhattan.
Tickets will be sold at the gala at a significant price range. Individual tickets are sold at $300. However, these tickets are limited. For the benefactors’ tables that seat ten individuals each, tickets will be sold at a price range from $ 6000 to $ 15000. The money gotten from the tickets will be used to fund the organization’s efforts.
Fountain House’s 2019 event will be paying tribute to Moby, a musician as well as an activist. Moby quickly became recognized when he debuted his record, “go”. Apart from music, he is also an activist whose passion has long been supporting mental health organizations. Moby published his book “Then It Fell Apart”, in May, which he explains the mental illness struggles he went through and a suicide attempt that he once committed.
