Cold is just a word to the lawyers and staff at Kisling, Nestico & Redick. This law firm has been taking a cold dip in the icy waters of Portage, Ohio, for years. The event supports several nonprofits in the state. Some of the funds raised will feed families, and a portion will help families with medical bills. Each year different organizations receive funds from the swimming event. Kisling, Nestico & Redick has been participating in the chilly event for years. One time the money was split between a children’s hospital and a kid’s camp. Another year, a food bank received funding. It is a celebration of team spirit and community pride for Kisling, Nestico & Redick. They deck themselves out in matching attire and make it a point to stand out for the firm and to stand up for their towns.

Kisling, Nestico & Redick works with nonprofits all year long, but the winters in Ohio can be unusually long, so they spend some time helping individuals get through the cold season. Outerwear and coats seem to be a much-needed item every year, so Kisling, Nestico & Redick decided to do a coat event with a twist. The theme was turkeys. People who brought in coats or canned items were given a turkey. It was an exchange program. The coats and food were distributed to needy centers, and the birds flew off the shelves. The teams collected nearly 10,000 pounds of food and 500 jackets. When this group sets their minds to a task, they get it done. The same holds true for the law cases they take on.
As well as helping groups and centers, Kisling, Nestico & Redick reach out to individuals. Everyone goes through tough times, but often, it can be too much to carry alone. One winter, a mother going through cancer treatment, was robbed. Needless to say, it put financial and emotional stress on her and her children. Kisling, Nestico & Redick took action and donated to her fundraising page. They watch what happens inside all of their towns, and whenever possible, they reach out with a kind word or funds. They spend time with people, clients, and family. Kisling, Nestico & Redick has developed a rare environment.
Becoming a lawyer starts with a solid education, which begins with reading. The team took note of that and started a book drive. They collected books for months, and when they were done, they added to the collection. Kisling, Nestico & Redick matched the donations. In the end, they had almost 5,000 books. There are many facilities that need books. The crew spread them out from Akron to Cleveland. Children’s books were handed over to hospitals. The hospital staff noted that kids needed to read and do normal activities while they are in the hospital. Reading gives them something constructive to do, and it makes them feel like regular kids.
Kisling, Nestico & Redick is dedicated to Ohio. They have established over 10 law offices around the state, and they employ 100s of legal professional and administrative workers. They focus on victims and protecting their rights.
