Somewhere in the beautiful land down under; in the year 2013, A bright young girl named Wendy Ayche created a Youtube account. Ayche would name the channel “Wengie.” It was there where she would share insightful D.I.Y. beauty & style tips with her growing subscriber base. When hearing her story up until that point, no one could predict the incredible heights her content would take her next.
By 2016, Wengie had gained enough exposure to eclipse 4 million Youtube subscribers. The achieved success led the promising star to explore her other talents in music and voice acting. In 2017, Wengie started working on projects which incorporated her unique skills. She made her voice acting debut by landing a role as Blisstina “Bliss” Utonium in an Australian adaptation of The Powerpuff Girls: Power of Four, which aired on Cartoon Network on September 17, 2017. Wengie would also make her debut on the Chinese charts with her first single “Baby Believe Me,” which would debut at number 11 and peaked at number 6. Ayche would go on to release two more musical releases through her Wengie Music Asia channel on Youtube. The artist page has garnered over 15 million views as of 2020.
After having amassed such great notoriety in her native lands of Australia and China; In 2018, Wengie would make an effort to expand her global reach by releasing her first English song “Cake.” The video for the musical piece would generate over 7 million views on Youtube. Ayche would follow up with five infectious English singles while gaining international fans in the process. In 2019, the goal of expanding her brand’s global reach would continue as Wengie would release her first Korean single titled “Empire,” with help from singer Minnie of the K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE. The single would be successful by landing at No. 22 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart. With over a billion views on her main Youtube channel and millions streaming her music worldwide, it is hard to tell what move Wengie will make next, but the sky is undoubtedly the limit!
