OSI Group is an internationally recognized food processor that focuses on protein products. This company has its headquarters in Chicago with over 65 processing plants in 17 countries across Eastern and Western Europe, Asia Pacific, and North America.
Sheetal Shah, the Vice President of Product and Operations at Impossible Foods, pointed out that the massive production capacity of the McDonalds supplier will go a long way in helping the company meet the market demand. He added that this deal would also give them a competitive advantage in the market and help Impossible Foods emerge as the market leaders. With its production issues solved, Impossible Foods now has a better chance to catch up with Beyond Meat, its primary competition in the alternative meat sector.

This Impossible Foods executive added that they settled on OSI Group for a partner thanks to his reputation for upholding the highest standards of quality. He revealed that the two companies had already set up separate production lines for the Impossible Burger at OSI’s plants. This will ensure that there is no risk of contamination between the meat-free and other meat products made at the plants.
Kevin Scott, an OSI Group executive, mentioned that they were looking to lend their expertise to Impossible Foods to help it achieve its goals. He added that it was a great honor for them to work with such a revolutionary company.
