Kfir Gavrieli is an entrepreneur and philanthropist from the Los Angeles area and is the co-founder of Tieks, an American shoe company that sells its products mainly online. Kfir’s company hit it off in 2010 when they began selling high-end women’s shoes that come with a carrying bag for easy shoe-swaps.
Tieks’ Italian-made shoes were a huge hit online and even gained the support of the famous talk show host Oprah Winfrey. Kfir Gavrieli succeeded in creating not just a wonderful and innovative shoe collection but was one of the first stores to sell mainly through their own website.
After ten years of avoiding physical stores and investing in strategic marketing strategies, Tieks grew into a recognizable online brand and later landed in many well-known publications such as Entrepreneur, Forbes, and The Oprah Magazine.
More recently, since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, the pandemic’s devastating effects came close to Kfir Gavrieli’s heart, affecting the people within the Los Angeles community. As the pandemic’s impact increased, the need for personal protective equipment (PPE) across the country increased, especially so within the Los Angeles area. Visit This Page to learn more.
A local group of volunteers secured a large donation of face masks and shields. Their next step was to make trips to deliver the protective equipment to frontline workers, hospitals, nursing homes, and other areas in need of supplies. The group reached out to Kfir Gavrieli who immediately stepped up to the plate and assisted in the storage of these masks and materials using his Tieks warehouse.
He helped in storing over 13,000 masks during this time. This helped the masks and supplies be delivered to 6 nearby hospitals, helping healthcare workers to protect themselves as they helped those in need of care. Kfir’s act of kindness proved that he is committed to helping the community and is a true philanthropist.
